Name: Emi.
Species: Ninetales, the Fox Pokémon (#38.)
Types: Fire.
Age: Young adult.
Sex: Female.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.
Trainer: Garnet Espinoza.
Character Type: Original.
Physical Appearance:Due to her breeding, Emi has more rusty-colored hairs in her fur than that of an average Ninetales, giving it a coppery tone. The tips of her tail and her eyes are a shimmering gold instead of the orange and red they normally would be. She is also an overall bigger Pokémon, standing at four-foot-seven rather than three feet and weighing in at sixty pounds as oppose to forty-five. The hair at the top of her head that would usually stand upright acts as more of a forelock.
Personality: Emi is a confident Ninetales entirely devoted to her Trainer, Garnet. When battling, her stance radiates her determination to win in order to please Garnet. Around other Pokémon she is not battling, however, she becomes shy, almost reclusive, and stands as close to her Trainer as possible.
Ability: Flash Fire. If Emi is hit with a Fire-type move or burned, the strength of her Fire-type moves increase. In addition, with this ability, she is immune to Fire-type attacks.
Moves: Flamethrower, Confuse Ray, Extrasensory, Roar.
When using Flamethrower, Emi tilts her head back, sucks in her breath, and jerks it forward as she opens her mouth wide, releasing a steady stream of fire. It sometimes burns the enemy. When using Confuse Ray, her eyes flash brightly several times before strange, rainbowy rays shoot out from them, confusing the foe. When using Extrasensory, her eyes turn a deep purple, and she stares intently at the foe as its physical being contorts. When using Roar, Emi lets out a long, loud cry that startles the enemy.
History: Emi was originally a Vulpix of Professor Rowan's used to help his research on evolution. He, however, was unable to get her to accept the Fire Stone no matter how hard he tried, but he couldn't just release the creature... his good nature wouldn't let him. Instead of doing so, he took her with him to a conference he was holding in Celestic Town in addition to several other Pokémon he used for his research.
At the conference, he met a sickly-looking woman named Teresa Espinoza who was looking for a Pokémon for her daughter, Garnet. After hearing her story, he felt that the Vulpix would be safe if her hands if given to her. Without hesitation, he handed her over. Garnet, beyond excited to have her very own Pokémon, nicknamed her Emi, and set out on her adventure to become a famous Pokémon Trainer two weeks later.
At first, Emi was quite awkward around her new Trainer, but slowly and surely, the two built a strong connection with each other. Emi grew to trust deeply in Garnet, and to show this, she accepted a Fire Stone when given to her, thus evolving her into a Ninetales. After this display of how dedicated she is to her Trainer, Garnet let Emi roam free from her PokéBall. The two have walked side by side through thick and thin ever since.
Miscellaneous: Emi adores it when Garnet puts flowers in her long forelock.
